Do you Gamble to Win ? or Gamble to Make Money ??

funny I was just talking about this with a friend today, who is not a gambler at all.
Sports gamble = to win/just for fun (Many people have a hard time understanding this but I do not like to put a large wager on the game. It takes away from the 'love of the game' so to speak. I am a gambler by nature and putting money on the game of course makes it more interesting, now Im invested in the outcome. But putting too much money, then all I care about is the money, too stressful for me, I do not enjoy it as much)

I'm probably just the opposite. For me sports betting is all about making money (it doesnt always work out that way , but that's the motive) I dont get any recreation , amusement , or enjoyment out of betting on sports i only do it to "try" to make money.

Casino's on the other hand is all about recreation and amusement and i only hope to win , but never expect to win.

make money is all that matter... no ego, get winners where, when, and how does not matter.. actually enjoy watching games more that i have no financial interest in, mainly why I never bet Ohio State games , unless i feel i get good value as a underdog..

I understand you saying that you don't bet OSU games because your heart plays a role, but when you can put that aside, don't you, and all of us, have an advantage handicapping our favorite teams that we follow so closely?

To make money. I've identified the sport that I'm good at (baseball) and try to stick to just that, 'cept for big events like superbowl and ncaa hoops tourney. I use systems for baseball almost exclusively.
